Plan for 2013
Okay, I read the Bible in one year. Now what? this year I'm planning on a study a little more in depth. I'm going to specifically study the gospels. Why? To know a little better about who Jesus was, what kind of man He was, how He was God, and how to be more like Him. This year I'll be reading and studying His Word, and also attempting to write a song, for Him, to get closer to Him, to worship Him. (I'm not great with that sort of thing but I'm sure God will love me anyway, no matter how bad it sounds.)
Plan for 2012
I always say I'm going to do it but I never do. I never seem to take the time to actually read the Bible. Well, I've decided to bite the bullet and actually read the Bible in a year.
I need to get closer to God, and I am doing this by taking time out of my life to read His Word and see what he has to teach me each day.
It would be nice if other people read this blog and take this journey with me. But if it's just me, that's okay too.
I was planning on using a 365 day bible reading guide from www.bibleplan.org. and posting what readings I had done that day. However, since my life does not seem to go according to plan, I have changed tactics. I will try to post what I am reading, and my thoughts and insights etc, for those who want to follow along. I'm not using any particular Bible translation, we have several different Bibles in my house and I'll read which ever is most convenient at the time.
I am trying to let God be my guide. Prayers welcome!
